There is never a shortage of things to do in the Mile High City, but when you have to choose, it can be hard to select just one or a few of Denver’s renowned events to attend every year. We expect 2020 to be yet another exciting, event-filled year.
Here are some of the events happening in Denver this year that we’re looking forward to the most!
Denver Restaurant Week
The 16th Annual Denver Restaurant Week happens February 21 – March 1, 2020! This event is perfect for foodies who want to sample all of the best of what Denver’s culinary scene has to offer. For 10 days Denver eateries will feature specialized menus that showcase the unique flavors that define Denver food.
Mexican Modernism and Norman Rockwell at Denver Art Museum
New, exciting exhibitions are coming to the Denver Art Museum in 2020. Two we’re especially excited about are Norman Rockwell’s “Imagining Freedom,” that opens in May. In October, the museum will host works from Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection.
Denver Arts Festival
There arts and crafts festivals happening almost every week in Greater Denver, but if you can only attend one, the Denver Arts Festival is the mecca for all things fine art in the city. The event takes place every Memorial Day weekend and attracts over 5,000 visitors. Kids art activities, breweries, wineries, food, live music and art by some of the regions most renowned makers make this a must-see event!
Yoga on the Rocks
Every summer world-famous Red Rocks amphitheater hosts weekly yoga classes by Colorado’s leading yogis and even some of the world’s biggest yoga influencers. Last year Youtuber, Yoga with Adriene hosted a class, and there was even a special Barre on the Rocks class hosted by The Barre Code. Tickets sell out fast!
Denver Pride Fest
Every June Denver celebrates the LGBTQ community through a series of events including Denver Pride, Denver PrideFest, the Coors Light Denver Pride Parade, the Pride 5K and a lot more. This year’s main event happens June 20 and 21.
Slow Food Nations
Slow Food Nations is a unique, international food festival that’s on a mission to connect farmers, foodies, and families. It’s part of a global movement in over 160 countries, that advocates clean and fair food for everyone.
The Great American Beer Festival & Denver Beer Week
Denver is the country’s craft brewing leader. The Great American Beer Festival is the industry’s leading event for showcasing America’s most cutting-edge breweries and awarding the nation’s best brews. Denver Beer Week also happens during the Great American Beer Festival at dozens of breweries across the city.
